Lexi Temple

Each month Pace Right Coaching chooses an athlete who shows pure dedication, hard work, and great progress in their running both mentally and physically. From day one to now, Lexi has made amazing progress. Hearing she did a 9:27 mile the other day just made me smile. I am so proud of her. Lexi has gone from thinking of running as a punishment in her sports to really enjoying it which is what it is all about! She took 8 weeks of her summer to be one of the first testers of my 8 week Run Performance Academy program and I am so grateful for her total comittment and hard work!

Why did you choose to work with Pace Right Coaching?
 .
I had been following Amanda on instagram for a while, and watched her program grow. I finally decided to reach out and ask her about it because I wanted to try something new!

What do you like about online coaching?
 .
I like the flexibility and the accountability. I still get the daily check in and motivation by having the app without having to make a specific time commitment for each day. If I have time in the morning one day, and time in the afternoon the next, I can still do my workout!

What are your training goals? What are you training for?
 .
My training goals are to continue to learn how to enjoy running, and increase my pace. I’ve built up a lot of endurance the first 8 weeks, and have seen some pace improvement, so I want to keep that going. My goal is to run a 5K this fall.

What has Pace Right Coaching helped you to achieve?
 .
So much! I never thought I could run like I’ve been doing. Specifically, I’ve learned that pushing through the hard parts of the run is possible. I’ve also learned to not be too hard on myself if I didn’t fully run an entire interval up to speed or had to take a walk break; I’ve learned to just move on to the next interval or the rest of my run and try again right away within that same work out.

Do you recommend Pace Right Online Coaching? Why or why not?

YES. It’s the perfect amount of motivation and schedule flexibility. Amanda is so wonderful and accommodating and encouraging! Many times I’d want to go to the gym but didn’t know exactly what to do; now I have an app with some great workouts lined up every day.

What is something people may be surprised to find out about you?
.

I was the extra point and field goal kicker on my high school football team! I have also transferred colleges twice, so I’ve gone to 3 schools in 2 years.

What is your favorite exercise? Least favorite?
 .
My favorite is currently biking, because I just got a new bike and the weather has been super nice! My least favorite is burpees.

What has been your proudest moment working with Pace Right Coaching?
 .
I think my proudest moment was when I ran 5 miles the first time. When it was over I just couldn’t believe that I had actually done it.

What is your spirit animal? Why?
 .
I was thinking lion but wasn’t sure, so I took a quiz online and got lion, so I figured it must be meant to be 🙂 I always admired lions because they are so powerful and strong, yet they know how to relax and have fun (from what I’ve seen at the zoo).
